Thoughts on the EU referendum today

During the referendum on the EU, I campaigned for Remain; I was not surprised when the result was to leave it was the most likely outcome.

The aftermath divided the country; the result gave fuel to those pushing for Scottish Independence another tool in their argument which may bring some to their cause.

I do believe in democracy and that when we begin to ignore the results, we weaken the freedom of choice which is critical to us developing and growing as individuals and therefore a country in the future.

We need to respect the vote to leave and that it actually means leave or we risk democracy which I my opinion be more damaging in the future.
